Composite Decking in Nashville, Tennessee
Trex, TimberTech and similar systems with hidden fasteners and matching rail, for a deck you never stain again.
Nashville's Deck does composite decking for homeowners across Middle Tennessee — licensed, insured, with the price in writing before the work starts. Deck builders who set the footings deep, flash the ledger, and would rather tell you what a deck costs than what it starts at.

Building composite decking, footing to final board
Composite decking removes the staining and sealing, and it does not remove the need for a properly built frame. The frame is still wood, it still carries everything, and decking over a tired frame puts a thirty-year surface on a structure that has ten years left.
Composite also needs closer joist spacing than timber in many systems, particularly on a diagonal layout. Retrofitting composite onto an older frame frequently means adding joists, and that belongs in the quote.

FAQ
Footings, permits and other composite decking questions
Is composite decking worth the extra cost?
If you never want to stain a deck again, yes. Composite costs considerably more than pressure-treated pine up front and then costs nothing for twenty-five years, while wood wants cleaning and staining every few years in this climate. Composite also does not splinter, warp or rot. The frame under it is still wood, and it still has to be built right.
Does composite decking get hot?
Darker colors do, in full Middle Tennessee sun — hot enough to notice barefoot in July. Lighter colors and the newer capped boards run cooler. A deck that faces west with no shade is worth planning with that in mind, whatever the material; wood gets hot too, just less so.
